If you find a stray animal with a rabies tag, you may call the veterinarian noted on the tag to trace the tag number to the animal's owner.

If you find a stray animal with a tag identifying that the animal has an ID microchip implant, you may take the animal to LHS or any Animal Control agency with a scanner to trace the owner.

If you find a stray animal with a LHS tag (indicating the animal was adopted from the LHS shelter), call LHS at 263-3463 to trace the owner.

If there are no tags you can call animal control:

Inside the city of Adrian call Barb Francouer at 517-265-7151

Outside the City of Adrian but inside Lenawee County call Dick Ward at 517-263-0524
