Foster Care Program

The shelter isn't always the best place for homeless animals, especially nursing mothers, young animals, under-socialized animals and animals recovering from medical conditions.
You can help save their lives without a long-term commitment.

As a foster parent, you'll temporarily house a pet, providing food, water, shelter and socialization until they're ready to return to the shelter to look for their forever home. If you're interested in helping find a forever home for your foster pet, check out our Adoption Ambassadors program!


Requirements to be a Foster Parent:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Own your home or have landlord approval
• Have a secure, enclosed area where foster pets can be separated from household pets
• Pets at home need to be up-to-date on yearly vaccinations

 


 


These are estimated time frames. If a foster pet is not working out or you need to end your foster period early, contact us!
