Click the picture above for Treat Recipes for your K-9 friends! Just a little note... All of our adoptable dogs have received their Distemper Combo (DHPP) and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations and have been given an initial de-wormer. All dogs over 6 months of age have also been tested for Heartworm Disease. Please understand that most of our animals are unwanted strays that have previously had little or no medical care. We do not guarantee the health of any animal, and ask that you protect your pets at home by taking them to your veterinarian for yearly check-ups and vaccinations. NEW! We now microchip each animal before adoption! If you have any questions about the animals on this site, please call us at 517-263-3463, or e-mail us at lhsadoptapet@tc3net.com!

Please understand that, while we try to update our web site as often as possible, some animals pictured below may have already found loving homes. Hello! My name is MOLLY!
I've been a resident at LHS since last October... Wow, I guess that means I've been here quite a while! I was adopted by a nice family when I was a cute little puppy, but due to personal problems, they had to bring me back to LHS. The ladies that work here say that they don't understand why no one asks to visit with me... I'm a very cool dog! They call me a Pit Bull/Lab mix, and I'm about 2 years old now. I've had all of my vaccines, I don't have heartworms, and I'm even spayed! I have a very playful personality, and I'm not very noisy like some of my friends here. I like going for walks and playing outside with my friend Polly (pictured below). Some people think I'm not very pretty, but I have neat brindle stripes and lots of love to give! I would prefer a family with enough time to play and goof around with me... The girls here say I'd be better suited to a family with kids older than 10 years, just because I'm such a big, strong girl. Won't you please come visit me and take me home?
