Strays at LHS

All strays are scanned for a microchip, and every effort is made to reunite stray pets with their owners. Please contact the shelter if your missing pet is listed below.

By law, we must hold stray pets without identification for 4 business days before evaluating them for adoption. Animals with information leading to an owner (tags or microchip) must be held for 7 business days.

All strays who are not reunited with their original families are evaluated, brought up-to-date on required vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped and placed up for adoption. If interested in adopting one of the animals listed below if it isn't claimed by an owner, please submit an adoption application and we will contact you with more information.

If your missing pet is not listed below, contact Lenawee County Animal Control at 517-263-0524 or their other boarding facility, Addison Veterinary Clinic, at 517-547-7581.
